Children at our Sale nursery have had a busy week of activities, including fundraising and celebrating bonfire night.

The children took home autumn bags to collected leaves, conkers and other natural objects whilst out and about with various family members.

“The children then brought them into nursery for us to explore in our autumn exploration area,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Hannah Sherlock.

This was followed by a pyjama day to raise money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.

“The children were very excited to show off their pyjamas to each other and raise funds for a cause so close to our hearts,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Hannah Sherlock.

Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis.  They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.

The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
