Barford nursery achieves Outstanding status in Ofsted report
Bright Horizons Barford Day Nursery and Preschool has been rated ‘Outstanding’ following its most recent inspection. The report praises the practitioner’s for incorporating an innovative and exciting curriculum across the nursery and effectively supporting the developmental stages and needs of children of all ages.
The nursery received its inspection on August 4th, with all categories passing with the ‘Outstanding’ status. Ofsted report on four key categories; quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership management. The inspection was carried out through a variety of tasks including staff and parent interviews and observational activities. Comments from the report included:
- “Parents speak very highly of the nursery and the exciting and fun-filled experiences that children receive. Parents comment on the incredible progress their children are making and they say that they feel very involved in their children's learning.”
- “They ensure that the learning activities they plan, and the books they purposefully read, are chosen to deliver high quality and meaningful teaching that effectively supports the development of these skills.”
- “Staff adeptly use ongoing and timely assessment of children's learning to plan engaging activities and exciting learning opportunities that supports all children to make outstanding progress.”
Bright Horizon’s Barford Day Nursery and Preschool manager, Rachel, said: “The Team at Barford have worked so hard together to create an environment with exciting and engaging activities, using natural materials to challenge the children every day. We have had a focus on creating areas of awe and wonder for the children to explore and use their imaginations inside and outside throughout the nursery and preschool. It has been a busy but exciting time using the Bright Beginnings curriculum and supporting every child’s development. I am thrilled that we have been recognised by Ofsted to be an Outstanding place for children to grow and thrive and we will continue to provide this caring and engaging environment for all children. This wouldn’t be possible without the whole team working together.”
