New Cedar House Day Nursery in Enfield Officially Opens

Bright Horizons Cedar House Day Nursery and Preschool in Enfield officially opened their doors on Tuesday, 2nd April and welcomed families to the new setting.

The new nursery has replaced the former Bright Horizons Bush Hill Park nursery and is situated in a new premises that was previously a care home. The building has undergone a complete redesign to include three large baby rooms, two toddler rooms and one preschool room. It’s ideally located with easy to access transport links, including Bush Hill Park Rail Station being just a three-minute walk from the nursery with regular services heading to London Liverpool Street.

The spacious new setting cares for children aged three months to five years old and features a large garden for children to learn and feel inspired outdoors. There is also free flow access to the gardens from the preschool and toddler rooms and a dedicated baby sleep room for the babies to unwind in a safe and comfortable environment.

Taking on the new Cedar House Day Nursery is Nursery Manager Ela, who previously managed Bush Hill Park.

“It has been a joy to finally get to welcome families to Cedar House and see all the exceptional resources and space that will be available for the children. With 16 years of experience in working in Early Years, I’ve always enjoyed getting to observe and support children to grow and expand their knowledge in my nurseries.

“Having this nursey in such a great location means we can support families in the community who value high quality childcare.”

Bright Horizons offer an enriching Bright Beginnings Curriculum at all their nurseries including Cedars House, designed by Early Years specialists from Bright Horizons. Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings puts each child’s happiness and wellbeing at its heart. This holistic yet personal approach will support each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress.

The Nurture Approach which supports the Bright Beginnings Curriculum was developed by Bright Horizons in the UK in partnership with clinical psychologist, Dr Sarah Mundy. It supports the key developmental needs of the child focusing on healthy emotional development and indicators of wellbeing. This programme will be incorporated as part of the curriculum at Bright Horizons Cedars House Day Nursery and Preschool.

The nursery is welcoming those who are interested in joining Cedar House Day Nursery and Preschool to book a tour and secure their place.
