Balham Nursery Reopens After Extensive Refurbishment
Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery and Preschool on Radbourne Road in London, officially reopened their doors on Monday, 6th November after undergoing a refurbishment.
Balham Day Nursery has a team of 13 experienced Nursery Practitioners who care for children aged three months to five years old. The setting has had a substantial internal redesign with the addition of new equipment, resources, and soft furnishings for the baby, toddler, and preschool rooms.
The refurbishment took place over 12 weeks, and during that time the nursery has moved their pre-school room downstairs to allow the children to have free-flow direct access to the beautiful outdoor area where they have three large garden areas.
Beth, Divisional Operations Manager supporting the refurbishment at Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery and Preschool said: “It feels wonderful to have officially reopened our nursery and to be able to invite new and existing families to our setting. The redesign is so exciting and has completely opened our nursery space internally whilst also ensuring our children get the most out of outdoor learning in the beautiful garden area so they can explore in an enthusiastic setting. We look forward to supporting each child in nurturing a lifelong love of learning through our different activities inspired by Bright Horizons’ Bright Beginnings Curriculum.”
Some of the exciting new features include changes to the baby room, which now has three distinct areas which involve messy play, soft play/sensory and a dining area to create both a comfortable and stimulating environment for the babies.
The nursery has three separate garden areas that have benefitted from new equipment, clean pavements for bike riding and a mud kitchen that has been added which will all benefit their eco-activities they will be getting involved in as part of the Eco-School Programme in 2024, teaching children about looking after their environment and the planet.
Bright Horizons offer an enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum at all their nurseries, designed by Early Years specialists from Bright Horizons. Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings puts each child’s happiness and wellbeing at its heart. This holistic yet personal approach will support each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress.
Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery and Preschool are planning a fun open day in December to celebrate the newly refurbished setting. They will have plenty of exciting activities planned for the young ones to get involved with to give prospective families an insight to what happens at Balham on a daily basis.
Balham nursery welcomes new families to register their children at the nursery, as well as offering new career opportunities for those passionate about a role in the Early Years sector.
