Nursery In Hampshire Sends Cards To King Charles To Celebrate Coronation

Newsroom - Bright Horizons

5 May 2023: The children from Bright Horizons Fleet Nursery and Preschool in Hampshire have written and sent three cards to King Charles III to celebrate the King’s Coronation.

The nursery has been focusing on celebrating this occasion and were keen to get the children involved. Three rooms in the nursery and preschool chose to create a card each, which the children made from different materials to make them stand out by using sticking tissue paper or mark making.Nursery In Hampshire Sends Cards To King Charles To Celebrate Coronation

In the preschool room, the children practised their writing skills and wrote their own messages to the King by wishing him a wonderful coronation day.

All cards have now been sent to the King including pictures of all the children involved in creating them for His Royal Majesty.

Due to the excitement at the nursery, the coronation celebrations did not stop there, as they also organised a tea party where all the children were able to make their own tiara and crowns and sit in their very own throne for the day.

Sarah, nursery manager from Bright Horizons Fleet Nursery and Preschool said: “The coronation is such a historical moment for us all and the children could not wait to get involved in the celebrations. They have all really enjoyed creating the cards for the King. Some of our preschool children were very keen to help post the cards so we walked to our local post-box, and they all helped to post them. One child even noticed the crown embellishment on the post-box and said it was a ‘crown just like the King’s!’”

Bright Horizons believes in providing children with the best start in life and is at the core of everything the team do. For more details about the Fleet Nursery and Preschool or if you’re interested in a nursery tour, then you can find more information here.
