Fourth Consecutive Outsanding for Sudbury Nursery
Date: 17 Sep 2019
Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery and Preschool in Sudbury, Suffolk has been rated ‘Outstanding’ for an incredible fourth consecutive time following its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: effectiveness of the leadership and management; quality of teaching, learning; personal development, behaviour and welfare; assessment and outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included the inspector speaking with children and staff throughout the inspection at appropriate times and holding a meeting with both the nursery manager and quality development manager. Comments from the report included:
- Children form very secure emotional attachments with staff. Staff enthusiastically use every interaction as an opportunity to build relationships and develop children’s understanding and use of language.
- Partnership working is superb. Parents are actively involved and receive a wealth of information about the nursery, their children’s progress and ways to support learning at home.
- Staff monitor and track the progress of individual children and different groups exceptionally well. This enables them to identify any gaps rapidly. Children make excellent progress from their starting points, which gives them the very best possible chance to succeed.
Nursery Manager, Jo Bullock, commented: “To receive our 4th consecutive ‘Outstanding’ inspection result is a true milestone for the nursery and an incredible achievement for my dedicated team. We strive for excellence every day for every child in order to ensure we’re providing exceptional care and education to our families.”
