Liverpool children raise money for charity with summer fair
Date: 07 Aug 2019
Children and staff at Bright Horizons Broadgreen Day Nursery and Preschool in Liverpool recently organised a summer fair to raise money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
The summer fayre was well attended and featured a variety of traditional activities including raffles, hook-a-duck, tombola and a barbecue.
“It’s an amazing feeling to see all of the team work hard together to support such an important charity,” said Nursery Manager Stephanie Dickinson. “The fair was a huge success and the day was enjoyed by all of the children, staff and parents. We are so fortunate to have extremely supportive staff and parents. We are so proud to have raised £700 so far for the charity this year alone.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
