Reigate children discover leaves on nature walk

Date: 18 Jul 2019

Children at Bright Horizons Reigate Day Nursery and Preschool recently enjoyed a nature walk where they collected different coloured leaves and sticks.

The children put them in their special bag and looked at the different sizes and shapes. They then found glue and paper to stick their leaves and sticks on to and talked about different plants. They discussed what plants need to grow and the texture of the leaves using describing words.

“The children were very excited so the learning was extended to incorporate leaf printing, using green, red and yellow paint, mixing the colours together to create new colours,” said Nursery Manager Louise Peek.
