Children at Bright Horizons Court Oak Day Nursery and Preschool in Birmingham have recently been planting their own sunflower seeds, in an activity part of the organisation’s Green Gardeners enhancement.

The children planted the seeds outside in their flower patch, with some having already grown to a metre in height.

“The children are looking forward to seeing their flowers grow over the next couple of months,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Sophie Williams.

Bright Horizons’ Green Gardeners enhancement aims to provide children with opportunities to interact with the natural world around them.
