Children and staff at Bright Horizons Mongewell Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Wallingford, Oxfordshire recently organised a Down’s syndrome awareness day.
Everyone was invited to wear odd or funky socks to raise awareness and a cake sale was also held with funds being donated to a local Down’s syndrome organisation.
“There was a huge variety of colourful socks on display and the children were very excited to show them off,” said Lisa Mowforth, third in charge. “The cake sale was a huge success and raised a huge £211 which will be donated to Down's syndrome Oxford to help benefit people in the local area.”
