Woking nursery receives Good rating from Ofsted

Date: 21 Nov 2018

Bright Horizons Teddies Woking Day Nursery and Preschool has been rated ‘Good’ after its recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery received its inspection on October 25th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare and Outcomes for children.

Inspection activities included the observing the quality of teaching both during indoor and outdoor activities and the impact this had on children’s learning. Comments from the report included:

  • Children receive lots of praise and recognition for their efforts and achievements, which successfully promotes their self-esteem and emotional well-being.
  • Staff teach children the importance of listening to others and sharing resources. They remind children to use ‘kind hands’ as they play. Children behave well.
  • Self-evaluation is accurate. Leaders identify areas for future development to help promote continual improvement. They consider the views of others in their evaluation.
“We are pleased the importance that our staff emphasise on listening has been recognised in this positive Ofsted report,” said Nursery Manager Samantha Rose. “We will always strive for further improvements as we move forward.”
