Date: 03 Oct 2018

Bright Horizons The Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Watford has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery received its inspection on September 4th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare and Outcomes for children.

Inspection activities included the inspector observing the quality of teaching during activities both indoors and outdoors, and assessing the impact this has on children’s learning. Comments from the report included:

  • Staff work in close partnership with parents. They regularly send information home about children’s progress. They encourage parents to share information about what children like, do and learn at home, to maintain a consistency in learning.
  • Children clearly enjoy attending the nursery. They arrive happy and greet the staff, who are warm and caring. Children develop very strong emotional attachments with their key person.
  • The manager and staff work closely with the local authority and other professionals to help ensure all children receive the best support possible to make good progress.
“We are pleased that the close partnership between staff and parents has been recognised in this positive Ofsted report,” said Nursery Manager Uma Patel. “We will always strive for further improvements as we move forward.”
