Children at Bright Horizons St Mary’s Day Nursery and Preschool in Hulme, Manchester recently took part in a sensory painting session which also helped to improve their fine motor skills.
The children used their fingers to paint an image using a variety of colours, in an activity part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists enhancement. The enhancement aims to encourage creativity in art.
“Staff talked with the children about how the paint felt on their fingers and used a lot of describing words when communicating with the children,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Laura Woods.
