Nursery children take part in Farnham in Bloom

Date: 24 Jul 2018

Children at Bright Horizons Westchester House Nursery in Farnham were invited to take part in Farnham in Bloom by the local council recently.

The children visited the council’s allotment where they planted six hanging baskets full of spring flowers. The baskets were then delivered to the nursery with one being placed in the car park with a Westchester plaque.

“The mayor then comes to visit all of the settings after a few weeks to see how we have looked after the hanging baskets and judge who in their option have the best looking flower displays,” said Nursery Manager Lesley Hurst. “It is a lot of fun and really helps teach young children about all living things and how to look after them.”
