Aberdeen nursery children celebrate Nelson Mandela Day

Children at Bright Horizons First Class Nursery in Aberdeen recently celebrated Nelson Mandela Day on July 18th.

The children learned more about Nelson Mandela and his work and also made their own African necklaces. They discussed what they can do to help look after people throughout the world.

“We learned that he helped people, regardless of the colour of their skin, to love and be kind to one another,” said Nursery Manager Corrie Kitching. “The children also made a birthday cake for Nelson Mandela because he would be 100 today.”
