Dartford nursery children embrace annual sports day
Date: 24 Jul 2018
Children at Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool recently took part in their annual sports day, which also raised money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
Races included the egg and spoon race, a wigs race, as well as an obstacle course, with numerous parents also taking part.
“We also sold refreshments and the total raised for the foundation was £120.90,” said Nursery Manager Stacey Dowsett. “Everyone had a great time and sports day is always an excellent opportunity for the children to get active.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
