Date: 27 Jun 2018

Bright Horizons Bexleyheath Day Nursery and Preschool celebrated its extensive refurbishment with a launch garden party this week.

Numerous families were in attendance as the garden party featured a raffle and tombola, while children got the chance to pet animals including goats, rabbits and ponies. A total of £600 was also raised for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.

“Staff also baked cakes and we had a mega cake sale,” said Nursery Manager Jenny Harris. “It was an amazing day and we had over 70 families attending.”

Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis.  They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.

The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
