Aberdeen nursery children plant their own vegetables
Date: 17 May 2018
Children at Bright Horizons at St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare nursery in Aberdeen have been busy planting their own vegetables.
The children discussed what they would like to make from their vegetables once they grow. A vote was then held and the children agreed to make their own soup.
“We then went across to our local shop and bought the ingredients for making soup,” said Nursery Manager Caroline Fenton. “All the children had a turn chopping the vegetables for the soup and at snack time we all had a bowl of our own.”
