Children at Bright Horizons East Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool recently hosted their own cake sale to raise money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
Staff, parents and children all joined in with the cake sale as the top three winners were announced at the end of the day. The sale raised £114 for the foundation.
“It was a day filled with lots of baking and a fun atmosphere created in the nursery by staff, parents and children,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Besi Danis. “We are all very proud and glad we were able to play our part for the foundation.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
