Children at Bright Horizons Rosehill Day Nursery and Preschool in Cheltenham have been noticing the change in weather as autumn draws in and using that to develop their seasonal knowledge.
The children went on a walk to discover the difference in colour and texture of the leaves that had recently fallen from the trees nearby.
“Our nursery is blessed with a woodland area so the children went to collect different coloured leaves, using a tick chart as they found them,” said Nursery Manager Mollie Edmunds. “It was a great opportunity to describe texture, colour and why leaves fall from trees.”
