Bright Horizons Asquith Kirkby Day Nursery in Liverpool recently played its part in the company’s annual FUNdraising campaign.
The nursery held a wacky hair day in order to raise funds for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. Both staff and children took part in the wacky hair day that saw a variety of hair designs, colours and items attached to their heads.
“The Foundation is very close to our hearts and we were delighted to play our part in the FUNdraising campaign this year,” said Nursery Manager Sarah Shepherd. “All the children had a great day.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
