Livingston children experiment with bubbles
Date: 14 Sep 2017
Children at Bright Horizons Livingston Day Nursery and Preschool have been experimenting with bubbles as part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement.
The children decided to use washing up liquid to form bubbles around the nursery garden.
“The children discovered that if you dip a hoola-hoop into a puddle and lift it up, it creates a giant bubble tunnel,” said Nursery Manager Karen Bell. “They then took it in turns to stand inside the hoop to try and make the bubble as tall as they are. All the children had great fun trying to make their own bubbles and recognised that puddles can be used for things other than jumping in.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.
