Children at Bright Horizons Dyce Early Learning and Childcare nursery in Aberdeen recently created their own mini volcanoes as part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement.

The children mixed baking soda with vinegar and watched on as a mini eruption took place.

“All the children loved this and described it as a volcano erupting and lots of lava flowing everywhere,” said Nursery Manager Rhona Jamieson.

Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to help children identify scientific activities that occur around them.
