Bright Horizons Lynda Ellis Day Nursery and Preschool in Sheffield has been rated ‘Good’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on February 1st and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Outcomes for children; Personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Inspection activities included the Nursery Manager Claire Frankland taking part in a joint observation with the inspector, as well as the inspector speaking to parents about their views. Comments from the report included:
- The manager and the leadership team have high expectations and set a clear direction for the nursery’s future development. They are ambitious for all children to learn in a motivating environment and achieve well.
- Children of all abilities make good progress from their individual starting points. Children who have special educational needs or disabilities are given carefully targeted support to meet their learning and development needs well.
- Staff help children to develop positive attitudes and good personal learning skills. Children learn to be tolerant and patient. They are well behaved and follow instructions. Children enjoy their time at the nursery.
