Children at Bright Horizons Active Learning Southgate nursery have recently been studying primary colours.
The children took part in a colour mixing exercise, with their new science equipment, in order to make secondary colours. They then added food colouring to the make the colours darker and to see what different shades they could create.
“The children were fascinated to discover how different colours can be made,” said Alyson Slattery, nursery manager. “We were delighted with the application to the task and it helped develop their knowledge of colours further.”
