Children at Edinburgh nursery celebrate Burns Night by visiting local museum

Children at Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis Nursery and Preschool in Edinburgh celebrated Burns Night this year by visiting the tartan museum at Edinburgh Castle.
After taking tartan samples back to the nursery after their museum outing, the children studied them further with a view to creating their own tartan. They then used different materials to create their own design. The day was finished with a traditional Burns supper at the nursery that was attended by families and friends.“The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the tartan museum and we were delighted with their originality when creating their own tartan designs,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kate Hubbert. “A special thanks to all of the families and friends as well who came out for our Burns supper. A great time was had by all.”
