Bank Street children inspired by famous artist

Date: 14 Feb 2017

Children at Bright Horizons Bank Street Day Nursery and Preschool in Canary Wharf have been developing their artistic skills after becoming inspired by the work of Vincent van Gogh.

The children took inspiration from van Gogh’s famous painting “The Starry Night” and produced their own versions accordingly, using a variety of colours as they saw fit. The exercise was part of the organisation’s Growing Artists enhancement.

“We were delighted with the children’s creativity in producing their own versions of the famous painting,” said Nursery Manager Susan Tierney. “We look forward to more art activities in the weeks ahead as they are always a favourite of the children’s.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists enhancement encourages children to experiment with different painting utensils and styles to inspire their inner creativity.
