The Bright Horizons Support Office team in Rushden has raised more than £1,000 for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
A series of fundraising activities have taken place over the past few months that have resulted in the entire office team raising a total of £1,150.78 for the foundation.
Emily Harris, Foundation Development Manager, said the money will make a huge difference to families Bright Horizons supports in the local community.
“We are so grateful for this incredible fundraising, which will really make an impact on the vulnerable children and families we support through our Bright Spaces,” said Harris. “We really appreciate all the time, effort and enthusiasm that went into the fundraising activities that took place.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
Prior to Christmas, a number of gifts were also donated from both the Rushden office and Kings Cottage Nursery in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, all of which will be placed at selected Bright Spaces.
