Children at Bright Horizons Crewe Day Nursery and Preschool have been using keys and padlocks in an exercise part of the organisation’s Growing Mathematicians programme.

The children attached the different padlocks to their toy superheroes and then had to match the numbers on them to the keys, in order to unlock them. They each unlocked a padlock on their own to enhance their fine motor skills.

“This activity was a great Growing Mathematicians activity which all of the children, especially the boys, loved getting involved in,” said Nursery Manager Claire Chadwick.

The Growing Mathematicians programme supports children in understand the importance of maths and numbers in their lives.
