Date: 25 Nov 2016

Staff at Bright Horizons Teddies Bristol Day Nursery and Preschool have been raising money for the organisation’s foundation via a bike activity.

The staff came together to complete a 10-hour static bike challenge, with all the funds raised going towards the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. The team managed to raise £125 after cycling a total of 176 miles.

“The staff have done a fantastic job and showed great endurance in cycling all those miles,” said Nursery Manager Helen Giermann. “We are thrilled to raise some money for a cause obviously close to our hearts.”

Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis.  They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.

The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
