Bumpers children pay respects on Remembrance Day
Date: 15 Nov 2016
Children at Bright Horizons Bumpers Day Nursery and Preschool in Burnaston, Derbyshire have paid their respects to those who served in the war.
On Remembrance Day, a two-minute silence was held at the nursery by all of those present to remember those who served. The children made poppies to hold and sat on the carpet as they listened to the Last Post being played.
“The children were all keen to pay their respects on Remembrance Day and they all embraced the responsibility of making their own poppies,” said Nursery Manager Juli Walker-Jones. “The two-minute silence gave us the opportunity to remember the sacrifices made by those who served.”
