Children at Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool in Egham, Surrey have been creating images by collecting leaves from the garden and using them to print.
As part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Mathematicians, the children collected fallen leaves from the nursery garden and counted them as they did so. They then used paint to print with the leaves and create different images.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and grew in confidence as they continued to count the leaves,” said Alice Blackman, nursery manager. “We were impressed with the creativity shown when printing the images.”
