Children at Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool in Warrington have been getting into the Halloween spirit by learning about pumpkins.

The children were given the chance to paint their own picture of a pumpkin, as part of the Growing Artists programme. There was also a discussion around pumpkin farms and how the tractors dig up the pumpkins, some of which the children had seen for themselves.

“The children are really excited about Halloween this year and were keen to learn more about the pumpkins,” said Nursery Manager Denise Sharkey. “Many of them are looking forward to displaying their own pumpkins outside their homes in the forthcoming days for Halloween.”

The Bright Horizons Growing Artists programme encourages children to be creative in art.
