Children at Bright Horizons Teddies Greenwich Nursery and Preschool have been using playdough to create still life sculptures.
As part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme, the children used different techniques including kneading to create the sculptures, as well as various forms of ICT equipment.
“The children had lots of fun using the playdough to create the sculptures,” said Loraine Thorpe, nursery manager. “The activity also allowed them to develop and enhance their hand and finger muscles to give them better motor control.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme aims to encourage children to be creative in art.
