Children at Bright Horizons Teddies Greenwich Nursery and Preschool have been combining their artistic skills with technology, in order to enhance their writing ability.

As part of the Bright Horizons Growing Writers programme, the children conducted a mark making activity using a variety of resources including colouring pens and torches.

The children used the torches to shine a light onto the paper, while they were making marks with a felt tip pen. They also used different shape templates to draw around and create images.

“The thoroughly enjoyed the mark making activity,” said Loraine Thorpe, nursery manager. “It was great to watch them see an improvement in their own writing skills and grow in confidence while doing so.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Writers programme supports the child on their magical journey to become a creative writer.
