Children at Bright Horizons Teddies Greenwich Nursery and Preschool have made the most of the last batch of hot summer weather by making frozen paint.
As part of the Bright Horizons Growing Artists programme, the children created paint pops by mixing together water and paint. They then placed them in the freezer to set.
The children then used them to make marks on paper, as the paint melted underneath the heat from their hands.
“The children had lots of fun participating in the frozen paint activity,” said Loraine Thorpe, nursery manager. “They were fascinated to see what would happen and showed great creativity in their mark making.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme aims to encourage children to be creative in art.
