West Hampstead children explore art of Jackson Pollock

Date: 12 Sep 2016

Children at Bright Horizons Active Learning West Hampstead Nursery have been exploring the work of artist Jackson Pollock, as part of the organisation’s Growing Artists programme.

The children have been studying the technique of splattering paint, made famous by Jackson Pollock. They subsequently tried the technique for themselves and created their own prints.

“The children had lots of fun exploring the art of splattering paint and learning more about Jackson Pollock,” said Shandel Dubois, nursery principal. “We were delighted with the creativity they all showed when producing their own prints.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme encourages children to be creative in art.
