Children and staff at Bright Horizons Starfish Day Nursery and Preschool in Guildford have been celebrating their latest Ofsted report, after receiving a ‘Good’ rating in a glowing report.
Key findings of the report stated that the children have close relationships with their key person and staff, partnerships with parents are successful and children make good progress being well prepared for their next stage in learning.
Further comments from the report included:
- The manager identifies training opportunities for her staff that have a very positive impact on the children’s experiences.
- Staff make detailed observations and assessments of children’s learning and use the information to plan a range of experiences to help children achieve their next steps in learning.
- Children benefit from an attractive and well-considered learning environment.
- Children operate with growing levels of independence and confidence, and are really engaged in their learning.
Nursery Manager Rebecca Pinnels said everyone associated with the nursery have been working tirelessly to provide exceptional care and education.
"Starfish are so pleased with their recent Ofsted inspection,” she said. “The staff worked extremely hard to gain their good and are now looking forward to making continuous improvements to reach our outstanding. Our families were delighted with our outcome and how beautiful our report reads."
