Children become string painters at Wishing Willow

Preschool children at Bright Horizons Wishing Willow Day Nursery and Preschool in Banstead have been practising the art of string painting.

The nursery said the children decided to think outside the box during an activity which was part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme, by using string and other materials in painting.

The children found it both challenging and fun trying to move the string around pieces of paper, in order to create a variety of images.

“We were pleased the children were able to put their creative minds to the test by using string to paint,” said Nursery Manager Rageena Abbas. “The challenge of string painting was one the children took in their stride and was a great way to continue the Growing Artists programme.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme aims to encourage children to be creative in art.
