Date: 14 Jul 2016
Magda Glapinska, a preschool teacher at Bright Horizons Crouch End Nursery and Preschool in London, has been shortlisted for the Nursery Practitioner of the Year Award, as part of the 2016 Nursery World Awards.
The annual Nursery World Awards are open to everyone in childcare or early years education, and aim to raise the profile of the sector while shining a light on the best practice within.
Magda is known for her inspiring ability to create a wide variety of learning activities and techniques for the children.
She also played a pivotal role in Crouch End attaining a rating of Outstanding in its first Ofsted report last year.
In May 2015, Glapinska was awarded the first ever Lorraine Thompson Awards at the Bright Horizons Awards of Excellence. The award recognises someone who is dedicated to early years education, active in daily nursery activities with the children and shows good listening skills towards her colleagues and students.
The 2016 Nursery World Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 24th September at The Brewery in London.“We are delighted Magda has been shortlisted for this award,” said Director of Early Years Nicola Amies. “This nomination is testament to her passion for early years education and the positive energy she brings to the nursery each and every day.”
