Children at Bright Horizons Crewe Day Nursery and Preschool have been taking part in transition day, in preparation for leaving for school in September.
Teachers from different schools came into the nursery to interact and spend time with the children who will become their students in the forthcoming academic year. The teachers were able to share their own stories to the children, while nursery staff explained the likes and dislikes of each child.
The staff also designed a transition box for each school which included photos of the teachers, uniforms, book bags and PE kits.
The children enjoyed trying on their new uniform, while discussing what will happen in their new school.
“Transition day was a huge success and we wish the children all the very best as they move on to pastures new,” said Nursery Manager Claire Chadwick. “It’s always important to us to ensure their transition to their next school is as smooth as possible.”
