Squeaky clean hands for Lynda Ellis children
Date: 01 Jul 2016
Preschool children at Bright Horizons Lynda Ellis Day Nursery in Sheffield learned about the importance of washing your hands last week.
To enhance understanding, nursery staff painted one hand of each child and asked them to shake hands with different children.
The exercise showed the children how quickly germs can spread if you don’t hand-wash properly.
Afterwards, the children then moved to sinks and used soap and water to practise washing their hands, correctly and thoroughly.
“One of the best ways to prevent germs from spreading is making sure we wash our hands properly,” said Nursery Manager Richard Kelly. “We were pleased the children were able to see the importance of this through this fun exercise.”
