Bright Horizons recognised as one of Europe’s Best Workplaces
Date: 17 Jun 2016
Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, a leading provider of high-quality childcare, early education and other services designed to help employees and families address the challenges of work and life, today announced that it has been recognised as one of Europe’s Best Workplaces in 2016 by Great Place to Work® Institute.
Bright Horizons was awarded 17th in the final rankings on a list released by the institute at the start of the month. The company was ranked among an elite group of 99 other workplaces. The list recognises organisations that have a high trust, high engagement workplace culture and was formed after more than 2,250 companies participated in national list studies across 19 European countries, where Great Place to Work is present.
The studies included analysis on what workplace features and management behaviours were associated with the motivation of its employees. Great Place to Work confirmed “employees’ willingness to go above-and-beyond had to do with fairness.” It was said that behavioural aspects which generate this factor include a “belief that a company has a fair appeals process in cases of disputes, a lack of politicking and backstabbing, and equal treatment at the company,” the latter being at all levels. The award was presented at the Great Place to Work gala and conference in Dublin on June 16th.
"We are delighted to be recognised as a Great Place to Work; it means a great deal to us to know that year upon year our people feel supported, as individuals and as professionals, and that they have such pride in their work. This honour belongs to each member of our Bright Horizons family and is a direct reflection of the passion and dedication they bring to work each day to make a profound and unique difference in the world," said Bright Horizons Family Solutions, managing director, international, James Tugendhat.
