AN OUTSTANDING HOME-FROM-HOME NURSERY IN BEXLEYHEATH

Discover our ‘Outstanding’ nursery and preschool in Bexleyheath. Our beautiful setting is designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
Our nursery garden is as grand as our setting, with four dedicated areas for each age group—babies, toddlers, 2-3’s and preschoolers. This allows your child to have the space to play, explore and learn with the freedom to access to a range of age appropriate resources. We also have our very own chickens in our garden for your child to befriend, as well as regular sports lessons with a sports coach.
We want your child to succeed in their further education, well after they graduate with us. That is why we have a dedicated ‘Ready for School’ room for your child before they graduate. This is designed to give your child the confidence and enthusiasm for subjects they will encounter in all their steps ahead, both big and small.
Our nursery and preschool in Bexleyheath is conveniently located a 5 minute drive from Bexleyheath town centre, and a 10 minute walk from Bexleyheath Rail Station. We also have an on-site car park and a buggy storage area to make pick-up and drop off as easy for you as possible.
We are dedicated to delivering the best possible childcare available to families in Bexleyheath. This has been recognised by local parents who have given us a 9.5/10 score on daynurseries.co.uk and a 4.2/5 star rating on Google (as of August 2019). Our nursery has also been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in our latest inspection.
We would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit with us today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Meet the Team

Bexleyheath Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Sarah Murphy

Bexleyheath Day Nursery and Preschool Third in Charge

Gemma Ford

Hi, my name is Gemma Ford.

I have been a part of Bright Horizons since May 2008.

I started my journey as a part time worker at Teddies Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool and since then I have progressed and worked from Senior Nursery Nurse to Room Leader and Third in Charge.

I started my deputy role at Teddies and in December 2016 I took on the new challenge of starting up and opening a brand new nursery, Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool.

I am excited to become a part of the Bexleyheath Bright Horizons team and look forward to maintaining an outstanding nursery setting to help care, nurture and educate the children within our care.

Bexleyheath Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Jenny Harris

I have worked at Bright Horizons for 16 years, starting as a Nursery nurse.  I have managed nurseries for 8 years and enjoyed 2 years in the role of Regional manager.  I have many fond memories working with some amazing staff and families, privileged to watch children play, learn and develop.  Out of nursery I enjoy an active time with my 3 children, ages 7, 9 and 12 all who have enjoyed their own experiences in Bright Horizons settings

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
