Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s development and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Make Amazing Discoveries in the Natural Environment
Children’s educational play using the environment is encouraged in our all-weather outdoor classroom. The nursery also has an all-weather outside art room, giving children lots of opportunities to discover imaginative and creative play.
The free flow access from classrooms into the garden and outside play areas also encourages children to interact with our top draw – our chickens - which they adore learning about and feeding.
All your child’s meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, sun cream, and formula are included.
Accessible & Convenient Location
Handily situated for commuting parents, our Dartford day nursery and preschool is located close to the train station and has an onsite car park. Brooklands Lake and Dartford Central Park are also nearby.

I have worked for Springfield Lodge since 2006 and started off as a Nursery Nurse within our Tawny Owls Room. Prior to this, I worked in Australia for a year working within a very small nursery, very different in size to Springfield.
Within Springfield, I have worked my way up to a management position. I have seen the nursery go through several changes and two outstanding Ofsted inspections.
I hold a higher national diploma in Early Years Care and a BSc (Hons) degree in Health and Child Development.
From a very early age I have always wanted to work with children and follow the footsteps of family members who have also followed this career path bringing knowledge and experience to help and support not only the children but my team.
I have worked for Springfield Lodge now for 9 years. I completed my level 3 qualification in 2013 at the setting and worked my way up to become the deputy manager in January 2018, I am also the lead SEN at the nursery.
I enjoy organising fundraising events and at Christmas I give up my time to support Crisis.
I have been in a child care environment for around 27 years after having 2 children of my own. I began as a parent helper before being offered full time employment at a small playgroup.
I completed my Level 3 qualification in 2000 and I began working at Springfield Lodge in 2005 as a nursery nurse before working my way up to my current role as a Deputy Manager.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, visiting various places of interest.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
