It’s a Hat-Trick! Bright Horizons Secures Third Great Place to Work Award

The 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ list was unveiled this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, with Bright Horizons once again recognised among the top organisations in the Super Large category

Bright Horizons, a leading provider of high-quality early education, childcare, back-up care, and workforce services, has already earned two major Great Place to Work accolades this year: a 20th consecutive appearance on the UK’s Best Workplaces™ list and 14th place on the 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces for Development list. This third recognition in 2025 is a testament to the organisation’s continued success in fostering a workplace where employee wellbeing truly thrives.

Janine Leightley, Chief Operating Officer at Bright Horizons, said:

“We take immense pride in featuring in this very important list. We know our culture is built on continually engaging with our colleagues to nurture trust and openness. In our 2024 Employee Experience Survey, we saw an impressive 87% response rate from our approximately 8,000 colleagues. The results clearly show that our efforts to support wellbeing are making a difference. For example, agreement with the statement ‘My organisation prioritises colleague wellbeing’ rose from 69% to 86.2%.

“It is incredibly rewarding to receive this kind of feedback, as we are committed to a holistic approach to wellbeing. We want every colleague to feel empowered to speak up. That is why we have wellbeing ambassadors across all areas of the business, in both nurseries and support functions, for those who prefer to talk to someone outside their immediate team. These ambassadors are a trusted point of contact and are equipped with knowledge of all our in-house initiatives.

“By supporting every aspect of personal wellbeing – mental, physical, and financial – and through our commitment to providing a comprehensive Total Reward package, we have significantly strengthened our ability to attract and retain talented colleagues.”

The UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ rankings celebrate organisations that have successfully created environments where employees experience high levels of wellbeing. To compile the list, Great Place To Work culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing holistic experiences of wellbeing at work across key areas such as work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, and financial security. Evaluations also considered how consistently these experiences were delivered across departments and seniority levels.

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work UK, said:

"A thriving workplace culture is rooted in trust, pride, camaraderie, and a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing. As we mark the fourth year of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ list, we’re proud to celebrate organisations that go above and beyond to support their people’s mental, physical, financial, and social health. When employees feel truly valued and supported, they’re not only healthier, they’re also more energised, motivated and aligned with their organisation’s goals. Congratulations to Bright Horizons on earning a well-deserved place on this prestigious list."
