Bright Horizons Bickley Day Nursery and Preschool

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Bright Horizons Bickley Nursery and Preschool is a modern, purpose built nursery benefitting from light and airy rooms enabling all our children to learn and develop in a welcoming environment. Our nursery is located in a convenient location close to Chislehurst and Bickley Train Stations.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection we achieved ‘Good’.

We have a large, spacious outdoor area and the gardens are spilt into age appropriate areas, which includes a mud kitchen, a vegetable patch, and a wooden play house. A variety of outside activities are offered for fun and extended learning. The nursery staff team hold a wide range of knowledge and experience and we also offer extracurricular activities such as Sports for Tots and Jo Jingles.

Our all-inclusive fees include meals, snacks, branded nappies, cream, bottles and formula milk as appropriate, enabling the transition from home to nursery a smoother experience.

All our freshly prepared nutritious meals are cooked on site catering for all dietary requirements.

We are able to provide convenient parent parking at the nursery for safe drop off and pick up times.

Meet the Team

Kerry Savage

I have been working with children since 1996. I worked at Pimlico in 2010 as a manager for Bright Horizons and during my time at Pimlico I formed strong bonds with my staff and the families.

I am passionate about my work and expect the same from my staff and am always ready to support my team in every way possible.

I am committed to ensuring that all my staff are highly motivated and challenged to continually develop their skills, thus enhancing their learning and giving the highest quality care to the children in our care.

I am also responsible for making sure that all children and staff have equal opportunities. I am committed to ensuring that the company’s vision and HEART principles are implemented to the highest standard.

Elizabeth Martin

I have worked with children aged from birth to 5 years. During my time as a key carer and a parent, I have been able to identify and support families as I am passionate about providing a stimulating environment for the children and maintain a safe and secure setting.

I was part of the kidsunlimited chain until we joined the Bright Horizons team in 2013. Since being part of the team at Bickley, I have worked my way up from head of unit to become deputy manager.
I work alongside Kerry who has taught me a lot about Bright Horizons core values and principles.

I regularly cover the units which allows me to still have that contact with the children and to be able to monitor staff and offer my support and skills as they need it.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
