A place to grow

Asquith Epsom Day Nursery and Pre-School rated back to back “Outstanding” in August 2017 has undergone an amazing £1.5 million extension and refurbishment.

Set in a quiet residential area this four storey nursery offers the most amazing homely spaces for children to learn and play. With brand new Community Playthings furniture and the latest Early Years resources children are able to safely access a variety of experiences throughout their day. Within the refurbishment we have installed a suite of ICT including a brand new Smart Board, Talking Turtles, Easi listening CD players and headphones, Easi Scope microscopes and much more.

Highly qualified and skilled practitioners offer a range of challenging but safe opportunities for all children to explore both indoors and out. Children are taught to a high standard by several Degree trained staff. The Early Years Curriculum and our Pre-School floor is lead by a qualified teacher who offers interesting and educational briefing workshops on a range of topics for parents throughout the year.

With a fantastic large outdoor space, children are able to create meals in the mud kitchen, ride bikes and trikes, climb the large fort, read stories in the hobbit house and play a variety games. On Thursday afternoons our qualified football, athletics and multi-sports coach joins the 2-5 year olds for an afternoon of Physical Educational fun.

Ofsted said “Staff have excellent knowledge about individual children and have high expectations of what they can achieve. They provide rich, varied and imaginative experiences, such as experiments with ice, so that children are motivated and inquisitive learners”. Ofsted 10th August 2017

There are excellent commuter links for those needing the M25 and trains to London Victoria and Waterloo only a ten minute walk away.

Please contact our Nursery Manager Laura Millward for a personal tour of the nursery.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
