All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden. Children in the nursery will be well prepared to transition to school with our Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Meet the Team

Surbiton Ewell Road Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Hannah Hopkins

I have been in childcare for 10 years now I absolutely love my job; I find it incredibly rewarding. I love meeting new families and helping and supporting them with settling in to nursery. I am also a mum myself with a lovely 17 month old little boy.

My vision has always been to create a safe environment where all the children can learn, develop and grow in a safe environment.

I am very excited to be opening our brand new Surbiton Ewell Road Nursery and meeting you all!

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
