I have been working in childcare for just over 20 years, working with children aged 3 months to 7 years old in nurseries and primary schools. I have also worked in a children's centre supporting parents to develop their children's early literacy skills.
I have a real passion for care and education; I have 4 children of my own and I try to bring a family feeling into the nursery. I enjoy encouraging and watching children's progress and development and work closely with the team to deliver great care and education.
I am passionate about supporting children in all areas of the curriculum to help each individual child to reach their full potential. As a parent myself I understand the importance of parent partnerships and involvement in the children's development and like to offer individual support if and when needed.
I have been working in childcare since 2006, when I started as an apprentice and gained a Level 2 and Level 3 in Childcare and Education with City and Guilds. I have been with Bright Horizons since 2006 starting with Casterbridge where I worked at Bright Horizons Banstead. I then progressed in my job role from Nursery Assistant to Nursery Nurse when I gained my NVQ Level 3 then from there I was promoted to room manager then to junior deputy and from then to present Deputy Manager.
Since November 2015 I have worked alongside Radha supporting her in the day to day running of the nursery. My role is also the Senco Coordinator where I work closely with the staff team and parents to ensure that I am here to support them if needed at any time. I also have the role and responsibility of being the health and safety coordinator where it is my job to ensure the nursery environment is kept clean and safe and to report if we have any health and safety concerns and to also ensure everyone is kept safe.
